After Rob Sandlin’s retirement from Florida Rock and Tank Lines on April 30, 2025, Mr. Jeff Paulsen assumed the role of President and Chief Operating Officer. Jeff joined the team at Florida Rock and Tank Lines as Chief Operating Officer on April 15, 2024, and his promotion to President is effective immediately.

Jeff Paulsen is a trucking industry professional with over thirty-five years of experience. He began his long career right after college as a Management Trainee and eventually took on the title of Director of Sales for the Western US and Canada at that same company.  Soon, other opportunities opened for Jeff, and he transitioned to a new role as Senior Vice President of Sales and Regional Operations. He continued to grow and excel in his field and has served in various leadership roles for some of America's largest and most successful trucking companies.

Rob Sandlin was employed at Florida Rock & Tank Lines for over 40 years and had been President since 2003. He helped build Florida Rock and Tank Lines into an industry leader and was instrumental in its sale to United Petroleum Transports in 2023. Now, UPT and FRTL are among the top ten tank truck carriers in terms of revenue, and Jeff Paulsen will work closely with UPT President and CEO Matt Herndon to carry this enterprise into a future filled with success, seamless delivery, and exceptional customer service.
